Hey, ALEXA! The Art of Voice Assistants

“J.A.R.V.I.S.” from Iron Man or “Cortana” from Halo – voice assistants are great! And they offer lots of communication options!

Whether with “Hey Google!”, “Hey Siri!” or a completely different phrase, millions of people greet their smartphones every day. A few years ago, we viewed voice assistants with caution, fascination and even a little fear, but now they have left our pockets and are increasingly becoming an integral part of our homes.

ALEXA knows the whole world – and the world knows her

When it comes to voice assistants for the home, most people immediately think of ALEXA. Almost everyone in the world knows her name, and in Germany she is slowly but surely finding her way into more and more households across all age groups.

“What sound does an otter make?”, “Set an alarm for 7 a.m.” or “Play The Power by SNAP!”... – the possibilities for keeping your smart speaker busy are almost endless. ALEXA can really do a lot!

But what if ALEXA can't do what you ask her to do? That's when DRIVE comes into its own!

ALEXA has special skills – here's how it works!

Alexa offers users the option of downloading skills from the Amazon Skill Store. These are essentially applications, just like any other app. They're just called skills. New skills add new functions to Alexa. For example, you can take a quiz, listen to an interactive audio play, or escape from an audio escape room.

But there's more: thanks to the Amazon Developers Console, you can implement your own ideas for a skill, and this is exactly where you can enter the race with DRIVE!

Because DRIVE loves ALEXA

We'll build the perfect skill for your application. We'd be happy to discuss your ideas and requirements with you to make the most of these possibilities. We're happy to support you with our expertise in all projects related to Alexa.
