The jury explains why the award is so important: "EU Business News is delighted that the German CEO Excellence Awards 2023 are finally back, for the second time in a row! After hopes that the country would finally be on the road to economic recovery by the end of the year, the current energy crisis across almost all of Europe and its impact on inflation and consumer confidence have put those hopes on hold for now. Various industries across Germany are feeling the pressure. Declines in retail sales, inventory reductions, and supply chain bottlenecks are just a few examples of the many challenges they face. Ultimately, a critical threat to German companies is emerging. In this turbulent economic climate, especially after the fluctuations caused by the recent global pandemic, it is particularly difficult for companies in the country to hold their own and survive – with their CEOs at the helm! The German CEO Excellence Awards 2023, organized by EU Business News, aim to showcase and highlight the people who have taken on the responsibility of leading their companies through one of the most turbulent phases of the modern global economy!
