Where there is a need, solutions must be found. The resulting shortage of skilled workers and the diversity of career opportunities are not making things any easier for applicants. They lack orientation and an overview of what they want to become. Companies are losing access to young skilled workers and their potential. The appropriate channels must be used and designed for students, school leavers, trainees, career changers, direct applicants, and unsolicited applicants.
You read and hear about employer branding in many places, but is this term actually accurate? Branding sounds martial, stamped or signed. The term “employee” is important, but for some it is not concrete or responsible enough. Companies also need a value proposition (employer value proposition) and, ultimately, communication between all levels is the most important thing!
Then there are the many different forms of education (universities, technical colleges, apprenticeships, academies, etc.), people (m/f/d), and continuing education. The communication channels of companies and their offerings must be just as diverse. Don't forget your own employees and give them opportunities for advancement through internal training and internal job postings. Very complex and a lot to think about, right?
DRIVE has a wealth of experience, including helping to design, develop, and program the multi-award-winning career portal for ALTANA AG, which we then developed further in collaboration with the client.
For PEMA, we created a small, clear, and multifunctional career section on their website, tailored to the client's requirements, as well as numerous print ads and a career section on the intranet.
We have defined and designed internal and external fields of action with our clients and published them online and offline. Speaking of internal: Many of our clients use their intranet to post career opportunities. Recommendation management is important and increases the relevance of your own employees. Here, too, we have a wealth of experience and ideas for you. Here you can see some more >>> project examples and references for employer communication with DRIVE.
We would be happy to show you how to build your employer branding, why employer communication is important, where you can use it, and what suits you best. Write to us at pole-position@drive.eu.
