Previously, this was reserved for test users, but now it is available to everyone in the US free of charge. It is integrated directly into the Google search input field and can be activated there by users.

“You can ask anything, anything at all!”

The goal: Google also wants to use this to answer complex search queries. Google's promise: “You can ask anything, really anything!” The results are displayed as reports, not as lists as before. However, the results in the US should be a warning sign for website operators worldwide: their visitor numbers have fallen sharply, reports Handelsblatt on May 23, 2025.

On the one hand, the search engine dinosaur doesn't have much choice. Young people in particular are using Google less and less and preferring AI tools because they are faster and more efficient. For example, traffic from Apple's Safari browser declined significantly in April 2025. “YOUNG” is “THE FUTURE” – that used to be Google's domain. But other big players have already gone down a sad path, simply because they failed to recognize the signs of the times in time.

Will Google's dominance be broken?

On the other hand, Google has been working diligently. Optimizations for voice queries, for example, which Google has been working on for many years, require significantly more complex search systems and solutions than the fundamentally simple strategy focused primarily on keywords, their quantity, some context, links, and a few technical functions.

Will that be enough? The race is on, and we are excited to see the outcome. Will Google's dominance, which is still extremely powerful, now be broken? Don't write off the T-Rex too soon. Google's resources, innovative drive, and momentum (ho ho) should not be underestimated. In addition to AI in the search field, they have introduced many interesting tools and technologies: new, significantly improved hologram glasses, service assistants, and much more. Perhaps this will enable them to catch up with the 16+ generation and prove themselves.
