Since 2011, DRIVE has supported the Verband der Diätassistenten (VDD e. V.) as its digital lead agency. The VDD is Germany's only legally recognized and medically trained professional association for diet therapy and nutritional counseling, whose members operate strictly under medical prescription. The core strategic challenge of the digital relaunch was to replace decentralized legacy information networks and clearly differentiate the association from self-proclaimed, non-medical nutritional influencers.
DRIVE conceptualized and engineered a high-performance association ecosystem powered by the TYPO3 Enterprise CMS. The technological centerpiece is a complex, interactive dietitian directory that serves as a legally secure search database, allowing patients, clinics, and health insurance providers to locate verified professionals within seconds. The platform consolidates highly complex functions within a single instance: alongside an integrated online store and a functional job board for talent acquisition, DRIVE programmed a restricted, secure intranet environment exclusively for association members and a specialized industry portal. The 360-degree content engineering included comprehensive in-house copywriting and structural text auditing. A perfectly synchronized newsletter system, enterprise-grade managed hosting, and rigorous IT lifecycle management via continuous minor and major upgrades complete the infrastructure.
The Result
Over 15 years of successful digital leadership for the federal association. The high-performance multi-site system drastically reduces the administrative overhead of the national headquarters through automated database workflows, drives inbound patient referrals via the customized directory search, and permanently secures VDD’s position as the definitive digital authority in medical nutritional counseling.
