A transit authority doesn't move vehicles—it moves people. It is precisely with this strategic approach that DRIVE executed the comprehensive brand and website relaunch for the Rhein-Nahe-Nahverkehrsverbund (RNN). The challenge: At the start of the project, a lack of public awareness led many to believe the RNN was merely a local bus operator.

Our solution: A radical emotionalization driven by the new, future-proof claim "Your Way. Your RNN.". As the strategic lead partner, we redefined the brand: shifting the focus from rigid timetables to the personal journeys of the passengers. DRIVE managed the entire conceptualization, multi-day content shoots, and cross-media campaign execution across web, print, and social media. Simultaneously, we enhanced the digital hub rnn.info through an accessible TYPO3 upgrade and real-time transit data. The success speaks for itself: A completely transformed, deeply positive brand perception across the entire region!

Campaign Photo Shoots

• 4 locations, 1 seamless process: Efficient planning and execution of a multi-day production trip through the entire network area (Ingelheim, Bingen, Bad Kreuznach, and Idar-Oberstein).
• Authentic casting: Recruiting real people from the region and featuring actual RNN employees instead of generic stock models.
• In-motion & drone footage: Technical execution of dynamic video footage on moving buses and trains, as well as spectacular drone perspectives to showcase the entire Rheinhessen-Nahe region.
• In-house post-production: Complete editing, color grading, and audio mastering handled directly by the in-house DRIVE media team for two main promotional films as well as various optimized social media snippets (9:16 for Instagram Reels).

Design Details

• Modular icon system: Development of a proprietary, copyright-protected symbol and icon library for quick, intuitive navigation within the local transit system.
• Subtle color psychology: Transformation of the existing corporate design into a friendlier, brighter color palette that conveys reliability and freshness in both urban and rural areas.
• Scalable system: The design functions seamlessly and responsively—from tiny smartphone displays (app/website) to printed timetables and large-scale bus wraps.
