Scalable Digital Infrastructure and Capacity Search Engine as the Definitive Regional Standard
On behalf of the Hebammenzentrale Region Hannover, DRIVE served as the digital lead partner to completely reconceptualize, visually design, and technologically engineer its centralized web ecosystem and the underlying capacity search framework. Funded by the Region of Hanover, the project operates under the management of pro familia Niedersachsen e.V. in close cooperation with the Midwives Association of Lower Saxony. The primary strategic challenge was to tackle the acute lack of transparency regarding available midwife services and to provide expectant parents with an intuitive, compliant platform for real-time verification.
The technical centerpiece engineered by DRIVE focuses on high-performance database modeling powered by the TYPO3 Enterprise CMS. Midwives can independently and effortlessly manage their specific services and availability timelines. Utilizing customized filtering metrics, expectant parents receive verified results for available midwives directly in their local area within seconds. The software architecture designed by DRIVE was engineered from day one to be highly modular and scalable, serving as an official technical blueprint: The midwife clearinghouses in Braunschweig and Helmstedt already successfully deploy the exact system built by DRIVE in their daily live operations. This comprehensive multi-site environment is hosted, monitored, and maintained by DRIVE on the latest TYPO3 LTS generation via rigorous lifecycle management. To secure cross-media consistency across local medical practices and clinics, DRIVE also designed the accompanying corporate print brochures and business cards.

A pioneering milestone for municipal healthcare communications. The automated matching framework drastically reduces search times for young families. By successfully scaling the system to the regions of Braunschweig and Helmstedt, the project highlights DRIVE’s capability to develop custom public sector database solutions that deliver lasting social impact, unlimited scalability, and bulletproof security.
