New content guidelines

Google has updated its content guidelines for career pages to ensure that everything is easy to read, neatly structured, and clearly laid out. • Capitalization
  • Anything that distracts from the job postings, such as advertisements, distracting text, or images, should be avoided.

Optional markup property “DirectApply”

This offers the following advantage:

  • Previously, applicants would click on the company page from Google, then on “Apply,” and then be taken to the application form.
  • Going forward, Google will offer one less step, allowing applicants to go directly from Google to the application form.

Google will certainly rank this accordingly in its search results and, if necessary, move pages without customized markups or that violate the guidelines to the back pages. The guideline will take effect on October 1, 2022, so you still have time to make the necessary adjustments with us, refresh your career page, and find exactly the right employees for your company.
