at the KUNSTVEREIN WUNSTORF

In this exhibition, we present works by contemporary comic artists. Why?
Because comics are the ultimate medium for utopia!
The possibilities within the comic medium are infinite. Absolutely nothing limits the imagination or the scope of representation.
Comic artists can—and are free to—depict anything and everything: there are no boundaries; anything goes. All that is required to bring visions to life is a pen and paper, a tablet, a wall, or any other surface.
More than 30 exceptional illustrators and comic creators—hailing from the KUNSTorf and Hanover region, Northern Germany, Europe, and across the globe—will showcase their work within the beautiful Abbey in KUNSTorf. What do their visions of our future look like? What will they draw, depict, and express?
The Opening Reception (Vernissage) will take place on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at 11:15 AM at Die Abtei (The Abbey), Wasserzucht 1, 31515 Wunstorf, Germany.
